IR to RF Remote Control Converter

IR (Infra-Red) remote controls typically have a short range and must be pointed towards the IR sensor on electronic devices. RF (Radio Frequency) however does away with the limitations of IR and even allows signals to travel through walls and floors.

The IR2RF provides an economical alternative to the expensive dedicated RF remote controls available in the market. It converts virtually any remote control that uses AA or AAA batteries into an RF remote. With this simple setup, you can control any device from 100+ feet away. No line of sight needed!

Easy Setup

• Insert one of the rechargeable batteries in to the “RF Transmitter/ AAA shell”,
  • If your remote control uses two AAA batteries, simply substitute one of them with the “RF Transmitter.”
  • If your remote control uses “AA” batteries, then insert the “RF Transmitter/ AAA shell” with the rechargeable still inside, into the “AA shell.”
• Make sure the supplied power adaptor is connected to the “Receiver”
• If the “Receiver” is not facing your AV device (eg. your AV devices are in a cabinet) then connect the supplied “IR beamer” to the back of the “Receiver” and stick the “IR beamer" so that it is facing towards your AV device.

That’s it. From now on you can use your remote control without having to point it towards your TV. Take it outside and control your multi-zone amp, or control your Foxtel box from your bedroom. The possibilities are endless.
